Greetings!
Every year the nation of Haiti is impacted during the annual hurricane season. In a nation where there is no infrastructure or emergency services, preparing for the hurricane season is difficult, at best. Mud slides and flooding are a common occurrence and damage to property or loss of life is often overwhelming.

The death toll has been suggested somewhere around 300,000, with around 1.5 million to 1.8 million homeless.
Over the years, Dr Threadgills outreach efforts had become largly self sustaining through revenues and gifts from local communities in Haiti. Needless to say, this revenue no longer exists.

The Community center/Evacuation shelter is underway! The foundation has been poured and the Steal has been ordered for phase 2. However, we are in need of the finances to finish this monumental task. Please remember every donation helps and will ensure that Haitians have a shelter to go to in the event of another disaster. Your donations are tax deductible. A Happy New Year to our Fishers of Men community of faithful supporters!! To those of you that pray for us, support us financially or come throughout the year with missions teams to serve the Haitian people, we give you a heart felt thanks from all our staff here in Port Au Prince!! As the year closes, we already have our eyes open and our ears to the ground for what is going on in 2012, our 25th year of ministry in Haiti!! From the schools to the prisons, on the streets and in the hospitals and every other sphere of influence we can find, FOMM is busy at work and ready for the new year!
In all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, don't forget the truest "reason for the season" In the words of Tiny Tim, "God bless us, every one!"
